You want Tsu-nta Claus to give you an mmd about coal this year??”“What are you even saying…”That’s right folks, summer is here and you know what that means- time for me to go back into mmd factory mode- and when I say factory, I mean like take 2 months to make 1 mmd lol (i think i made the same joke last year). Anyways! On to the mmd stuff: A LOT of edits this time around - from the motion, to the stage, model, effects, and even the music. Where to even begin… Let\'s talk motion first! So hopefully if you search for catwalk dancehall mmd, you won’t get any other search results other than mine because this is actually sort of an original mmd.(Unless someone already took my idea OTL.. wait... quickly does a quick search phew, okay, we\'re good). Granted that although the base motion is just the same loop over and over again that I copied from Himehina, all the other motion edits are new. (Don’t get your hopes up though, I’m not good enough to be making full mmd motions so don’t go sending me full dance videos and requests for motions or anything crazy like that =b). As you know, Himehina released the song Heart Pie Dancehall early last winter along with a really nice mmd motion which a lot of creators took to make cool mmds. I, of course, wanted to as well but when I downloaded the file, I was mindblown to see the thousands of nodes I wanted to edit all crammed into the three minute motion. Now, that might not sound like a lot especially since I\'ve made mmds that were pretty long in the past too but mind you, I edit reeeaaally slow and I was busy with school. However, while procrastinating with school (lol), I was rewatching the motion used in other mmd creators and found a very cool hip shake motion that I could loop. So I saved that section (frame #2510 - 2550) to a backup folder and decided to make it my first mmd this season. I do plan to eventually make a heart pie dancehall mmd later since it is a really nice motion even though I am so late to the party but probably not until later. Because this is kind of an original mmd, I wanted to use a new song that hasn\'t been used in mmd before but obviously I\'m not a music producer and frankly, I have no music sense and am a little tone deaf. I did dabble in the FL studio before but I was never that good with it. So I went on to YouTube and literally just searched royalty free music (hooray for the internet!) I did edit the song a little bit by cutting and pasting to make certain sections of the song longer but other than that, not much else to say there.Previously, you have seen LO chan.... here, I present to you... the brand new... “Lo chan B”! (Yes, you can see I have very creative naming skills heavily inspired from my other senpais). I say brand new but you can see that I basically just did a color swap and threw one of her twin tails onto the back of the head. I really like this model, especially the design and the physics so I definitely hope to make another mmd with them again. As for the stage, I had originally planned to use a plain beach scene but kaahgomedl senpai had this really cool stage with clams, rainbows, hammocks and birds that really added to the overall scene (they said not to tag them in yuri content so I think this is ok?). I also hope that they don\'t mind that I deleted some smaller sections of the stage (originally there were two large Easter island heads and a pirate ship lol) which added up to about a hundred different materials, none of which were named D: hats off to them for being able to organize all of that but damn was it confusing to organize all the parts at first. It did pay off in the end because I was able to find the parts I wanted to edit, especially the birds which were pretty fun to play with. The other last thing you might also notice is that I finally got the water effects to work! ASDFGHJKJL! I was pretty happy with this one since this is a summer themed beach mmd I really wanted to go back and try to learn the water effects. I had played with mirrors in the past but puddles and streams were always buggy for me and pretty frustrating to figure out. Thankfully Riveda1972 provided a very user-friendly reupload of Beamman senpai’s puddle effect and Ley Line Walker senpai provided a fountain stream effect tutorial. I had a lot of fun playing with the effects now that I have finally figured it out but it still took my pea brain a long time to work out all the kinks. I do plan to use these more in the future so all beachgoers beware. If you see weird liquids off the coast, be careful about swimming in it. I mean I guess, unless you\'re into that kind of thing, I don\'t judge, you do you.Aaand that\'s about it. Woot! That was a lot to go through but now it\'s time to start working on the next mmd. I do have summer school this year so I will be a little busy with balancing that and work but I will still try to make time for more mmds. Let me know your thoughts and hope you enjoy it.
